Dino Rescue is the prehistoric rescue theme in the PAW Patrol franchise.
Dino Rescue sends the pups into stories involving dinosaurs and a prehistoric environment. The storyline introduces Rex, a Bernese Mountain Dog who specializes in dinosaur rescues, and the Junior Patrollers, a group of young dinosaurs who assist him.
The theme is one of several mission-based expansions that give the franchise a distinct setting and new equipment. It differs from Mighty Pups, which centers on superpowers, and Sea Patrol, which focuses on ocean missions.
Dino Rescue is sometimes shortened in casual conversation to “dinosaur missions,” but the franchise name is Dino Rescue. Using the official theme name avoids confusion with individual dinosaur episodes or specials.
