In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link lives in Ordon Village. The rural settlement is located south of Hyrule and is home to farmers, ranchers, and the Ordon people, including Link, Ilia, and the village mayor, Bo. Link works as a ranch hand there before the game's main adventure begins.
Ordon Village serves as the peaceful starting point of Twilight Princess. Its pastoral setting—with a spring, ranch, wooded paths, and grazing goats—contrasts sharply with the danger Link soon encounters. When Bulblins kidnap the village children, Link follows them and is drawn into the wider conflict involving the Twilight Realm, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf.
A common mix-up is Kakariko Village, another important Zelda location. Kakariko is associated with the Sheikah and lies elsewhere in Hyrule; it is not Link's home in Twilight Princess. Castle Town and Hyrule Castle Town are urban locations that Link visits later. Ordon Village is also significant because Link eventually leaves it permanently to continue his journey after Hyrule is restored.
