In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, what is the name of the recurring dungeon?
Answer
Temple of the Ocean King
Answer
Temple of the Ocean King
In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the recurring dungeon is the Temple of the Ocean King. Link returns there repeatedly throughout the adventure to obtain sea charts and unlock deeper parts of the temple.
The dungeon is tied directly to the game’s central mystery. It is the domain of Oshus, who is later revealed to be the Ocean King, and it contains clues needed to navigate the Great Sea. A curse drains Link’s life while he is inside, while Phantoms patrol its corridors and force him to rely on stealth, safe zones, and eventually the Phantom Sword.
The Temple’s rooms and puzzles reset whenever Link leaves, but newly acquired items open shortcuts and alternate routes. This structure makes each return faster and more strategic than the last. It is commonly confused with the Wind Temple or Tower of the Gods, both of which belong to other Zelda games. Phantom Hourglass was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007 and builds on the world introduced in The Wind Waker.
