In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, what is the name of the item that lets Link jump?

The story behind the answer

In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, Roc’s Feather is the item that lets Link jump. It is one of the game’s essential dungeon items, expanding Link’s movement so he can clear pits, cross gaps, and reach platforms that are otherwise inaccessible.

Roc’s Feather appears in the Snake’s Remains dungeon, the second dungeon in Holodrum. Its design and name draw on the legendary roc, a gigantic bird from folklore, while its gameplay role continues a long-running Zelda tradition of giving Link a special item that changes how he explores the world.

Players sometimes confuse it with Pegasus Seeds, which temporarily increase Link’s running speed, or with the Cane of Somaria, which creates blocks for solving puzzles. The Magic Boomerang is another useful dungeon item, but it is designed for ranged attacks and switches rather than jumping. Oracle of Seasons was released for the Game Boy Color in 2001 and emphasizes action more strongly than its companion game, Oracle of Ages.
