In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Gerudo settlement is called Gerudo Town.
Gerudo Town stands in the Gerudo Desert, in the southwestern region of Hyrule. It is the home of the Gerudo, a largely female warrior and trading society that has appeared throughout The Legend of Zelda series. In Breath of the Wild, the town is governed by Riju, a young Gerudo chief who inherits leadership after the death of her mother.
Gerudo Town is unusual because men are forbidden from entering. Link must disguise himself as a woman to gain access, creating one of the game’s most memorable side quests. Inside, players can find shops, an inn, training areas, a chief’s chamber, and characters connected to the Divine Beast Vah Naboris storyline.
The other options are settlements belonging to different peoples: Rito Village is home to the Rito, Zora’s Domain is ruled by the Zora, and Goron City is inhabited by Gorons. Gerudo Town also appears in the sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, though the Gerudo face a very different crisis there.
