In 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy', what is the name of the spaceship with the Infinite Improbability Drive?

The story behind the answer

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the spaceship with the Infinite Improbability Drive is the Heart of Gold.

The Heart of Gold is unveiled as an extraordinarily advanced spacecraft powered by the experimental Infinite Improbability Drive. Instead of travelling through space by conventional hyperspace routes, the drive allows the ship to pass through every point in the universe at once, producing wildly unlikely events along the way.

Galactic President Zaphod Beeblebrox steals the ship at its unveiling on Damogran. He later encounters Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, who are rescued by the Heart of Gold after Earth is destroyed and they are thrown into space. Trillian and Marvin the Paranoid Android also become part of the ship’s unusual crew.

The Vogon Constructor Fleet is responsible for demolishing Earth, not for operating this ship. Bistromath is another spacecraft in the wider series, while Starship Titanic belongs to a separate Douglas Adams work. The Heart of Gold’s absurd propulsion system is central to the story’s comic treatment of probability.
