In 'The Fifth Element,' the perfect being who holds the element is Leeloo. She is the mysterious fifth element, a humanoid being created to help protect Earth from the ancient evil force known as the Great Evil.
Leeloo is reconstructed from a preserved hand after her spacecraft is destroyed. Scientists rebuild her body, but she escapes and falls into the flying taxi driven by Korben Dallas. Although she initially speaks an unknown language, she gradually learns about humanity and becomes central to the mission to obtain the four elemental stones.
The film's mythology combines the four classical elements—earth, air, fire, and water—with Leeloo as the fifth, spiritual or life-giving element. She does not simply carry a physical object called the fifth element; she herself embodies it. Her decision about whether humanity deserves to survive becomes the emotional turning point of the story.
Leeloo is commonly mixed up with Korben Dallas, who transports her, or with Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, the film's antagonist. Ruby Rhod is the flamboyant radio host who helps them navigate the chaotic mission. Milla Jovovich portrayed Leeloo in the 1997 film.
