The final stage of MTV's 'The Challenge' is called The Final.
After qualifying through daily missions and elimination rounds, remaining contestants compete in The Final for the season's title and prize. It commonly combines endurance, running, puzzles, strength, navigation, and eating or memory tasks, although the exact design changes by season.
The series began as 'Road Rules: All Stars' in 1998 and was later renamed 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge' before adopting the shorter title 'The Challenge'. Contestants have come from those original MTV shows as well as later reality programs.
The word 'final' is used as a proper stage name in the franchise, while individual seasons may give the event additional branding or divide it into multiple legs. It is distinct from an elimination, which removes contestants before they reach the championship stage.
