Steven Bartlett was the youngest Dragon when he joined the British TV show Dragon's Den in 2022.
Bartlett joined the panel for the programme's twentieth series. He was known for co-founding the social-media marketing company Social Chain and for presenting The Diary of a CEO podcast, which made him a prominent figure in modern entrepreneurship before joining the BBC programme.
His arrival also represented a generational change in the panel. Earlier Dragons were generally associated with retail, manufacturing, property, finance or traditional business building, while Bartlett became especially associated with technology, online communities and digital brands.
The title youngest Dragon refers to age at the time of joining, not to the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch. Those are different records. Bartlett's position on the panel also does not mean he was the first Dragon with a technology background; the show has featured several investors with interests in digital businesses.
