In the British TV show Dragon's Den, Hilary Devey is known as the founder of Pall-Ex.
Pall-Ex is a freight-distribution network specialising in palletised goods. Devey established the company in 1996, building a business around the coordinated movement of pallets between freight operators. The network’s model helped smaller and regional transport companies work together while maintaining national distribution coverage.
Devey joined Dragon's Den as an investor for the programme’s eleventh series, bringing a background in logistics and transport rather than the retail and consumer-brand experience associated with some other Dragons. Her business career made her particularly associated with freight, supply chains and commercial expansion.
Pall-Ex should not be confused with Devey’s television work or with other logistics companies that later appeared in the den. The company name is the key identification point: Devey founded Pall-Ex, while several other Dragons became known for different businesses, including fashion, retail, technology and marketing ventures.
