In the British TV show Dragons' Den, which Dragon joined the panel in 2017 after serving as CEO of Vitabiotics?

The story behind the answer

Tej Lalvani joined the Dragons' Den panel in 2017 after serving as chief executive of Vitabiotics.

Lalvani is the son of Vitabiotics founder Kartar Lalvani and became chief executive of the health-supplement company in 2007. Vitabiotics is associated with products including Wellwoman, Wellman and Pregnacare, which made Lalvani’s commercial experience relevant to the programme’s consumer-focused pitches.

He first appeared as a Dragon in the fifteenth series of the British programme. His appointment followed the departure of Nick Jenkins, who had joined the panel in 2015 and left after two series.

Lalvani’s name can be confused with Touker Suleyman, another relatively recent Dragon. Suleyman joined the main panel in 2015, whereas Lalvani arrived two years later. Lalvani left the regular panel after the 2022 series.
