Rachel Elnaugh is known for founding Red Letter Days, the experience-gift company associated with her career and her appearance as a dragon.

Red Letter Days sold gift vouchers for experiences rather than conventional physical products. Its offers included activities and leisure events, helping establish the experience-gift market as a distinctive retail category in Britain. Elnaugh built the business before becoming part of the original Dragon's Den panel.
