In the British TV show Dragons' Den, Sara Davies founded the craft-supplies business Crafter's Companion.
Davies established Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The company began after she developed a tool that helped crafters make envelopes for handmade cards. It grew into an international craft-products business selling tools, materials and accessories.
Sara Davies joined the Dragons' Den investment panel in 2019, becoming one of the programme's youngest dragons. Her background is different from that of several panel colleagues because Crafter's Companion was built from a student invention and direct-to-consumer sales.
Crafter's Companion is sometimes confused with companies in which Davies later invested on the programme. The question concerns the business she founded herself, rather than one of the entrepreneurs whose pitches she considered.
