Tej Lalvani is chief executive of Vitabiotics, the company he led before and during his appearances on the British TV show Dragons' Den.
Vitabiotics is a British company that develops and markets vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements. Lalvani succeeded his father, Kartar Lalvani, who founded the company in 1971.
Lalvani appeared as a guest dragon in 2017 and subsequently became a regular investor on the programme. His business experience in consumer health products gave him a perspective different from dragons best known for retail, property, technology or restaurant ventures.
Vitabiotics is not the same business as Red Letter Days, Ryman or Phones International Group. Those companies are associated with other figures connected to the programme, which makes company-founder questions especially easy to mix up when several dragons have prominent commercial careers.
