Hilary Devey was the founder of the transport company Pall-Ex and a former Dragon on the British TV series Dragon's Den.
Devey founded Pall-Ex in 1996. The company developed a palletised freight distribution network, allowing independent hauliers to work together to move palletised goods efficiently across the UK and internationally.
She joined Dragon's Den in 2011, bringing logistics and transport expertise to a panel otherwise known for backgrounds in retail, technology, property and consumer products. Her business career made her one of the programme's most distinctive investors.
Pall-Ex is not simply a courier brand: its model centres on pallet freight and a network of member transport firms. Devey later presented other business television programmes, but her Dragon's Den connection is tied to her investment role and logistics background.
