Simon Woodroffe was the first Dragon to leave the original panel of the British TV series Dragons' Den.
Woodroffe, the founder of Yo!, appeared in the first series when Dragons' Den premiered in 2005. He brought experience from the entertainment and hospitality industries, including the creation of the Yo! Sushi restaurant concept.
He left the programme after its first series. James Caan joined the panel for the second series, taking Woodroffe's place. This makes Woodroffe distinct from other early Dragons who stayed for several series or returned later in different roles.
The Yo! name is associated with several ventures, but Woodroffe's Dragons' Den role was brief compared with the long runs of Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden. His departure marked the first change to the original investor line-up.
