In the British TV series Dragons' Den, which Dragon is the only investor to have appeared in every series?

The story behind the answer

Peter Jones is the only Dragon to have appeared in every series of the British TV series Dragons' Den.

Jones was part of the original investor line-up when the programme began in 2005. Unlike most of the other early Dragons, he remained on the panel through subsequent changes in the cast. His continuity made him the programme’s longest-serving Dragon and one of its most recognisable faces.

Jones is an entrepreneur and investor with interests that have included technology, media, retail and consumer businesses. On the programme, entrepreneurs pitch for investment in exchange for a percentage of their company, while the Dragons assess the proposal, valuation and commercial potential.

Several other well-known Dragons served for many series, which can make this fact easy to misremember. Deborah Meaden joined in the second series, and Theo Paphitis and Duncan Bannatyne were also prominent early investors, but Peter Jones is the panel’s constant across every series.
