Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever Dragon when he joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2022.
Bartlett was born in 1992 and became known as a technology entrepreneur, podcaster, author, and investor. He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, and later developed media and investment activities of his own.
His appointment represented a generational change for the programme. Earlier Dragons had generally built careers in traditional retail, leisure, manufacturing, or finance, whereas Bartlett's profile came from digital media and technology. His age made the appointment notable as well as his sector background.
Bartlett joined after Sara Davies and before later panel changes. The title “youngest-ever Dragon” refers to his age at appointment, not to being the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch in the Den.
