Evan Davis has hosted the British television show Dragon's Den since 2007.
Davis succeeded Adrian Chiles, who presented the programme during its first series. Before joining Dragon's Den, Davis was best known for his work as a BBC economics correspondent and presenter of the radio programme Today.
Dragon's Den gives entrepreneurs a short pitch before a panel of investors, commonly called the Dragons, decide whether to offer money in exchange for equity. Davis's role is to introduce the entrepreneurs, manage the pitch and keep the negotiations moving.
The programme is sometimes confused with the similarly formatted business show Shark Tank, but Dragon's Den is the British adaptation of a format that originated in Japan. Davis has also presented other BBC programmes, including Newsnight and The Bottom Line.
