Evan Davis presented the British television series Dragons' Den from 2013 until 2023.
Davis took over as presenter in 2013, succeeding Sarah Willingham-era presenter roles associated with the programme’s earlier history. He was already widely known in British broadcasting, particularly through his work on BBC current-affairs and economics programming.
As host, Davis introduced the entrepreneurs, managed the flow of each pitch and provided transitions between the business presentations and the dragons’ deliberations. The presenter is distinct from the investors: the dragons assess the businesses, while the host facilitates the television programme.
Davis’s tenure ended in 2023, after which the programme continued with a different presenter. Viewers sometimes identify the show primarily with its rotating investor panel, but the presenter’s role has also changed across different periods of the series.
