In the British television series Dragon's Den, which entrepreneur has been a Dragon since the programme launched in 2005?

The story behind the answer

Peter Jones has been a Dragon on the British television series Dragon's Den since its launch in 2005.

Jones was one of the original investors when the BBC programme began. The other original Dragons were Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard. Jones is notable for remaining part of the regular panel across the show's long run, while many other Dragons have joined or departed.

His business interests include telecommunications, technology, media and property. He is also known for founding Phones International Group, which later became Phones 4u's parent company before the business was sold.

Peter Jones is sometimes confused with Duncan Bannatyne because both appeared from the first series. The distinction is that Jones is the enduring Dragon associated with every series, whereas Bannatyne left the programme after series 12.
