Sara Davies founded the online craft retailer Crafter's Companion before joining the Dragon's Den panel.
Davies created Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The business began with a product designed to help crafters make envelopes and developed into an international craft-supplies company with products, retail activity and media sales.
Her entrepreneurial background is central to her role on Dragon's Den. Davies joined the panel in 2019, bringing experience from building a product business from an early idea into a substantial company. She was the youngest female Dragon when she joined.
Crafter's Companion is sometimes confused with a television craft programme or a single stationery product. It is the name of Davies's wider craft business, while her original envelope-making invention helped launch the company.
