Adrian Chiles hosted the first two series of the British television series Dragon's Den.
Chiles is a British television and radio presenter who became the original host of the UK version of the business-investment format. In that role, he introduced contestants, set up their pitches and guided viewers through the studio negotiations.
After the first two series, Evan Davis became the programme's principal presenter. Davis's much longer tenure means that many viewers associate his voice with the show, which can make the original presenter easy to overlook.
The presenter is distinct from the Dragons themselves. Chiles did not sit on the investment panel; his job was to host and explain the proceedings while the panel members questioned entrepreneurs and considered offers. The early hosting credit belongs to Adrian Chiles.
