In the British television programme Dragon's Den, which entrepreneur created the Trunki children's ride-on suitcase?

The story behind the answer

Rob Law created the Trunki children's ride-on suitcase featured on the British television programme Dragon's Den.

Law is a British product designer and entrepreneur who developed Trunki, a lightweight ride-on suitcase designed for children. The product allows a child to sit on and ride the case while travelling, while also functioning as luggage. Its distinctive design made it one of the programme's most remembered product pitches.

Law appeared on Dragon's Den seeking investment, but the Dragons did not make him an offer. Trunki nevertheless became a commercial success through Law's own company, Magmatic. This is an important distinction: appearing on the show does not require receiving investment, and rejection on television does not necessarily predict a product's later performance.

The product is sometimes attributed to a Dragon because it became strongly associated with the programme. However, Trunki was created by Rob Law, while Theo Paphitis was one of the investors who declined the pitch. The entrepreneur and the panel member therefore have different roles in the story.
