In the BBC television show Dragon's Den, who has presented the programme since 2013?

The story behind the answer

Evan Davis has presented the BBC television show Dragon's Den since 2013.

Davis succeeded comedian and broadcaster Dara Ó Briain, who had hosted the programme from 2009 to 2013. Before joining Dragon's Den, Davis was widely known for his work as a BBC economics correspondent and as the presenter of the current-affairs programme Newsnight.

The programme's presenter introduces the entrepreneurs, keeps the pitch moving and asks follow-up questions, but does not decide whether an investment goes ahead. That decision belongs to the investors, traditionally known as the Dragons.

Davis is sometimes confused with former presenters Adrian Chiles and Duncan Bannatyne, but neither has been the show's presenter since 2013. Chiles hosted the first series, while Bannatyne was an investor rather than the host.
