Sara Davies is the founder of the stationery and craft company Crafter's Companion and later became a dragon on the BBC television show Dragon's Den.
Davies started Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student. Her first major product was a tool designed to help people make envelopes for handmade cards, and the company grew into an international craft-supplies business.
She joined Dragon's Den as an investor in 2019. Her specialist knowledge of product development, retail and direct-to-consumer selling gave the panel a dragon with a particularly strong connection to craft and small consumer brands.
Crafter's Companion is not the same business as a television production company or a general stationery retailer. Its product range has included papercraft tools, card-making materials and other supplies aimed at hobbyists and craft businesses.
