The BBC television programme Dragons' Den was originally broadcast on BBC Two.
The programme is a British adaptation of a Japanese business-investment format. Entrepreneurs enter a studio and present their companies to a panel of wealthy investors, known as dragons, who may offer money in exchange for equity. BBC Two became the show's regular home when the British version launched in 2005.
The channel is sometimes confused with BBC One because Dragons' Den became a major mainstream programme and has attracted large audiences. However, its original and established BBC channel is BBC Two. The programme has also been repeated on other BBC services and made available through BBC iPlayer, but those later outlets do not change its original channel identity.
The format has remained recognisable across its BBC run: a pitch, questioning about valuation and finances, and negotiations that can end with an investment, a rejected offer, or no deal.
