Evan Davis presented Dragons' Den from series 9 until 2023.
Davis took over as presenter in 2009, beginning with the programme's ninth series. He guided the introductions to the entrepreneurs and helped structure the televised pitches and negotiations between them and the dragons.
Before joining Dragons' Den, Davis was well known as a BBC economics journalist and presenter. His broadcasting career included work on BBC Radio 4's Today programme and Newsnight, making business and financial subjects a natural fit for the series.
The presenter is sometimes confused with Adrian Chiles, who hosted the programme during its first eight series. Davis's tenure therefore begins after that original period rather than at the show's launch. He left the role in 2023, after more than a decade presenting the business-investment programme.
