Peter Jones is the founder of the Phones International Group, a telecommunications business associated with his entrepreneurial career.
Jones established Phones International Group in 1998. The business operated in mobile telecommunications and related services, helping make him one of the most prominent technology and communications entrepreneurs on the Dragons' Den panel.
He has been a Dragon since the British programme began and is the only original investor to have appeared in every series of the show. His interests have covered technology, consumer products, retail and media, rather than being limited to mobile phones.
Phones International Group is separate from the Carphone Warehouse, another well-known name in British telecommunications. Confusing those companies can lead to the wrong answer: Jones founded Phones International Group, while the Carphone Warehouse was founded by different entrepreneurs.
