Peter Jones is the only original Dragon to have appeared in every series of Dragon's Den.
Jones joined the programme when the British version began in 2005 and remained a regular investor as the panel changed around him. His continued presence makes him the show's longest-serving Dragon and one of its defining public figures.
The original panel also included Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Simon Woodroffe. Several later Dragons became strongly associated with the programme, including Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis, but neither appeared in every series from the beginning.
Jones is a British entrepreneur whose business interests have included technology, media, retail and leisure. He is often described as the chairman of Phones International Group and has also worked in television production. His long tenure is distinct from being the show's first Dragon or its presenter: those are separate roles.
