Kelly Hoppen founded the design company Kelly Hoppen Interiors.
Hoppen established her interior-design business as a teenager and developed an internationally recognised career. Kelly Hoppen Interiors became associated with residential and commercial projects, furniture, home accessories and a distinctive style built around clean lines and neutral tones.
Her company name is closely tied to her own name, which makes it an especially clear example of a designer-led brand. Hoppen later expanded her public profile through books, products and television, including her period as an investor on Dragons' Den.
She joined the British Dragons' Den panel in 2013. That television role was an extension of her business career, not the source of it: she had already established Kelly Hoppen Interiors and built her reputation before becoming a Dragon. The company should not be confused with Sara Davies's Crafter's Companion, which operates in the craft-products sector.
