Dyersville is a small city in eastern Iowa, west of Dubuque, and is the home of the Field of Dreams movie site. The 2026 Phillies-Twins game took place in a purpose-built MLB ballpark beside the original movie field.
The game site became famous after the 1989 film Field of Dreams, which was filmed near Dyersville. MLB later constructed a separate professional-standard ballpark because modifying the original movie field would have damaged its historic appearance.
Dyersville is sometimes confused with nearby Dubuque, a larger regional city. Dubuque is useful as a geographic reference, but it was not the host city. The 2026 game continued MLB’s tradition of staging a regular-season game at the Iowa site.
