In No Time to Die, James Bond drives an Aston Martin V8 in Norway.
The car appears during the Norwegian sequence involving Madeleine Swann and her daughter Mathilde. It is an older, dark-colored Aston Martin that Bond uses while trying to protect them from Safin’s forces. The vehicle’s appearance deliberately recalls Bond’s relationship with classic Aston Martins rather than presenting only a new film-specific supercar.
The Aston Martin V8 was produced in several forms from the 1970s into the 1980s. The model is especially associated with the V8 Vantage, which became known for its muscular appearance and strong performance. No Time to Die uses a V8 connected visually and narratively to the car seen in The Living Daylights.
This car is often confused with the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, which Bond drives during the film’s Matera sequence. The Norwegian car is the Aston Martin V8, while the DBS is a separate modern model. No Time to Die was released in 2021.
