In the 2015 film Minions, where is Villain-Con held?

In the 2015 film Minions, Villain-Con is held in Orlando, Florida.

Villain-Con is the convention where the Minions hope to find a new evil master after repeatedly losing their previous bosses. Kevin, Stuart, and Bob travel to the event after learning that the world’s villains will gather there.

Orlando is a fitting setting because the fictional convention is presented as a huge entertainment-style event filled with costumed villains, demonstrations, and merchandise. At Villain-Con, the Minions meet Scarlet Overkill, who selects them for her plan to steal the British crown.

Villain-Con should not be confused with London, which becomes the main setting later in the film. The Minions first encounter Scarlet in Orlando, then follow her to England. The real city is Orlando, while Villain-Con itself is a fictional convention within the story.
