In the 2014 film Noah, who played Noah?

In the 2014 film Noah, Russell Crowe played Noah.

Noah is a 2014 biblical drama directed by Darren Aronofsky, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ari Handel. Russell Crowe portrays the central character, while Jennifer Connelly plays Naameh, Noah’s wife. The main cast also includes Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, and Anthony Hopkins.

The film draws on the Genesis Flood story but expands it with original characters, conflicts, and visual interpretations. It is therefore not a scene-by-scene adaptation of the biblical text. The film presents Noah as a troubled patriarch facing the destruction of humanity and the survival of his family.

Noah was released in March 2014 and was distributed by Paramount Pictures. Its casting can be confused with other biblical or historical epics featuring major stars, but Russell Crowe is specifically the actor credited as Noah in Aronofsky’s film.
