In the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace, Alfa Romeo 159 cars pursue Bond during the Italian action sequences.
The 159s appear in the opening chase as Bond drives an Aston Martin DBS while transporting the captured Mr. White. The sequence moves through roads near Lake Garda and into a quarry, using multiple pursuing cars to intensify the escape.
The Alfa Romeo 159 was a stylish executive sedan produced from 2005 to 2011. Its appearance gave the chase a distinctly Italian flavor and placed a contemporary Alfa Romeo model opposite Bond’s Aston Martin.
The 159 is sometimes confused with the Alfa Romeo 156, its predecessor, or the later Giulia. The film’s pursuing sedans are the 159. The movie was Daniel Craig’s second official Bond film and continues directly from the events of Casino Royale.
