In the 2007 game Assassin's Creed, what is the name of the main playable assassin?
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is the main playable assassin in the 2007 game Assassin's Creed.
Altaïr is a Syrian member of the Assassin Brotherhood during the Third Crusade. The game follows his fall from grace after a failed mission, his demotion, and his efforts to regain his rank by eliminating targets across the Holy Land. His mentor is Al Mualim, the leader of the Masyaf Assassin stronghold.
The character's name is Arabic: “Ibn-La'Ahad” means “son of no one.” Altaïr is also shown in the later Assassin's Creed Revelations, where an older version of his life and legacy becomes central to the story. This sometimes causes confusion because Ezio Auditore is the more prominent protagonist of the next major game, Assassin's Creed II.
Altaïr's story establishes the series' early conflict between the Assassins and Templars, while the game's historical locations include Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus.
