In the 2005 film "Beauty Shop," Gina Norris's previous boss and arch-nemesis is Jorge.
Gina, played by Queen Latifah, is a talented hairstylist who leaves Jorge's salon after clashing with her domineering employer. She moves to Atlanta and buys a run-down beauty salon, determined to build a business where she can work according to her own standards. Jorge reacts badly when former clients begin following Gina, turning their professional disagreement into an escalating rivalry.
Jorge is played by Kevin Bacon and is presented as flamboyant, vain, and intensely threatened by Gina's independence. He uses his influence, including a dishonest arrangement involving an inspector, to create problems for her new shop. Gina's salon nevertheless develops a loyal clientele and becomes a serious competitor.
The film's climax adds another joke to Jorge's vanity: Gina exposes that his claimed Austrian identity is false and that he is actually from Nebraska. After his scheme is uncovered, Jorge is humiliated with an extreme haircut. "Beauty Shop" is a spin-off of the "Barbershop" series, and Gina Norris first appeared in "Barbershop 2: Back in Business."
