In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, who plays Kate Brewster?

Claire Danes plays Kate Brewster in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Kate Brewster is John Connor’s future wife and the daughter of Lieutenant General Robert Brewster, whose military work connects her family to the coming Judgment Day. She begins the film as John’s former veterinary colleague and becomes central to his survival after the T-X attacks.

Danes was already known for My So-Called Life, Romeo + Juliet, and Homeland when she joined the Terminator sequel. The role required her to portray Kate first as a civilian and later as someone confronting the collapse of modern society.

A common mix-up is confusing Kate Brewster with Sarah Connor, John’s mother, or with the T-X, the female Terminator played by Kristanna Loken. Kate is a human character and an important successor figure in the Connor family story.
