In Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the Cyberdyne Systems computer scientist is Miles Dyson.
Dyson is developing revolutionary neural-network technology that will eventually contribute to Skynet. He does not initially know that his research is connected to the future nuclear war described by Sarah Connor.
Sarah, John, and the T-800 attack Dyson’s home and later take him to Cyberdyne. After learning the consequences of his work, Dyson helps destroy the research and the prototype hardware stored at the company.
Miles Dyson is played by Joe Morton. His son Danny appears in the film, which can cause confusion between the two names. Miles is the scientist whose work leads to the creation of the technology that becomes Skynet.
