In Star Wars, the Wookiee co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon is Chewbacca.
Usually called Chewie, Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the forest world of Kashyyyk. He is Han Solo’s loyal friend, first mate, and co-pilot, and the pair’s partnership is one of the central friendships in the Star Wars saga. Chewbacca communicates in Shyriiwook, a language of growls and roars that other characters generally understand through context.
Chewbacca first appeared in the original Star Wars film in 1977. He helps Han transport Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, joins the rescue of Princess Leia, and fights alongside the Rebel Alliance. His weapon is a bowcaster, and he is also a capable mechanic and pilot.
The wrong options are other important characters: Han Solo is the Falcon’s captain, Lando Calrissian later owns and pilots the ship, and Jar Jar Binks is a Gungan from Naboo. Chewbacca’s height and distinctive voice make him one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.
