In Star Trek: Generations, what is the name of Captain Picard’s ship?

Captain Picard’s ship in Star Trek: Generations is the USS Enterprise-D.

The Enterprise-D is the Galaxy-class starship commanded by Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the 1994 film, Picard and his crew become involved with the dangerous energy ribbon called the Nexus and the scientist Tolian Soran. The ship is destroyed during the film when it crashes on the surface of Veridian III after a battle with a Klingon Bird of Prey.

A common mix-up is confusing the Enterprise-D with the Enterprise-E. The latter first appears in Star Trek: First Contact, released two years later. The Enterprise-A belongs to the original crew’s era and is a different vessel altogether.

Star Trek: Generations also links the television-era crew with Captain James T. Kirk, making the Enterprise-D an important bridge between two Star Trek generations.
