In RuPaul's Drag Race, the celebrity-impersonation challenge is called Snatch Game.
The challenge is a parody of the classic television panel show Match Game. Contestants select recognizable public figures and answer questions in character, aiming to make RuPaul, the judges, and the other panelists laugh. Success depends on more than copying a celebrity's voice or appearance: timing, improvisation, wit, and the ability to sustain a comic persona are central to the challenge.
Snatch Game first appeared in the second season of the original American series in 2010. It has since become one of the franchise's signature recurring challenges, appearing in RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars and many international editions.
The name can cause confusion because the episode is sometimes casually described as a celebrity-impression game. “Ball,” “Makeover,” and “Roast” are also recurring Drag Race challenge types, but they test fashion presentation, transformation skills, and stand-up comedy rather than panel-game impersonation.
