Ditto is the Pokémon that transforms to imitate a human in Pokémon Pokopia.
Players control a Ditto that uses its transformation ability to take on a human-like appearance. This premise gives the game its unusual viewpoint: rather than playing as a human Trainer who catches Pokémon, the player is a Pokémon trying to rebuild a world and help other species.
The player can customize the transformed character’s appearance, including features such as skin color, hair color, and clothing. Ditto also learns moves from Pokémon it befriends, allowing it to interact with the environment by performing tasks such as watering plants, clearing debris, and breaking rocks.
Ditto’s role can be confused with Mew, another Pokémon famous for learning many moves, or Zorua, which uses illusion-based abilities. In Pokopia, however, the central character is specifically Ditto, and its transformation is fundamental to both the story and the gameplay.
