In Pokémon Pokopia, what Pokémon does Professor Tangrowth represent?

Professor Tangrowth is a Tangrowth in Pokémon Pokopia.

Professor Tangrowth is a character who studies the abandoned environment and investigates why humans and Pokémon disappeared. The character meets the player-controlled Ditto early in the story and helps frame the mystery behind the damaged world.

Tangrowth is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Tangela when Tangela levels up while knowing Ancient Power. Its vine-covered appearance makes the name Professor Tangrowth especially appropriate for a researcher connected to environmental restoration.

The title “Professor” is part of the character identity, not the name of a separate human character. Professor Tangrowth is also distinct from Professor Oak, the famous human Pokémon researcher associated with the original Kanto games.
