In Pixar’s Coco, Miguel and Héctor perform “Un Poco Loco” together.
The song appears during the music competition in the Land of the Dead. Its title means “a little crazy” in Spanish, matching the playful, energetic performance style and the song’s unusual rhymes.
Miguel and Héctor use the performance to gain access to Ernesto de la Cruz’s party. Their duet also strengthens their partnership, even before Miguel fully understands Héctor’s place in his family history.
“Un Poco Loco” was written for Coco by Germaine Franco, Adrián Molina and Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. It is distinct from “Remember Me,” which is the film’s recurring emotional theme and its Oscar-winning song.
