In Pixar's Cars, what is the name of the championship trophy?

The story behind the answer

The championship trophy in Pixar's Cars is called the Piston Cup.

The Piston Cup is the main prize in the film's stock-car racing championship. Lightning McQueen enters the final race as a rookie contender, alongside veteran champion The King and aggressive rival Chick Hicks. A three-way tie at the finale leads to the unusual decision to hold a tiebreaker race.

The trophy's name is a mechanical pun, referring to pistons inside an internal-combustion engine. It is not the same competition as the World Grand Prix introduced in Cars 2. Dinoco is a major racing sponsor and brand in the Cars universe, but “Dinoco Cup” is not the championship's official name.
