Mack is Lightning McQueen's hauler and traveling companion in Pixar's Cars. He transports the race car between events and is the vehicle McQueen is traveling with when the story begins.
Mack is a red truck with a sleeper cab, and his role is important to the opening plot. While crossing the country toward the final Piston Cup race, he becomes exhausted and loses track of McQueen, leaving the race car stranded near Radiator Springs.
Mack is voiced by John Ratzenberger, a recurring Pixar voice actor who also appeared in several other studio films. Mater is McQueen's tow-truck friend in Radiator Springs, but he is not McQueen's original hauler.
