In Pixar's Cars 2, which fuel company is promoted as an alternative to petroleum?

The story behind the answer

In Pixar's Cars 2, Allinol is promoted as an alternative to petroleum.

Allinol is introduced during the World Grand Prix as a supposedly clean alternative fuel. Its public image helps create the film's central conflict, because the race is presented partly as a demonstration that alternative fuels can power high-performance cars. The fuel is linked to billionaire Miles Axlerod, who organizes the competition.

The plot later reveals that Allinol has been manipulated for a destructive purpose. A broadcast electromagnetic weapon causes cars using the fuel to malfunction, allowing the villains to discredit alternative energy and protect petroleum interests. Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell investigate the conspiracy while Mater becomes an accidental spy.

Allinol is fictional and should not be confused with Dinoco, the racing sponsor associated with the Piston Cup, or Rust-eze, Lightning McQueen's original sponsor. Those brands are important to the Cars universe, but neither is the alternative fuel promoted in Cars 2.
