In Pixar’s Cars 3, Jackson Storm is the rookie racer who becomes Lightning McQueen’s major new competitor.
Storm represents a new generation of highly advanced racers. He is faster, more aerodynamic, and associated with modern training and simulation methods. His rapid success makes McQueen question whether experience can still overcome technological progress.
Armie Hammer voices Jackson Storm in the English version. The character’s dark blue and black design contrasts visually with McQueen’s red body and traditional racing identity.
Jackson Storm is sometimes confused with Francesco Bernoulli, who is McQueen’s international rival in Cars 2, or Chick Hicks, the aggressive competitor from Cars. Storm’s defining story role belongs to Cars 3 and its theme of changing generations.
